Winter Wildlands Alliance, the national voice for backcountry skiers and snowshoers, invites you to the third Grassroots Advocacy Conference, nestled in the mountains of Wellsville, Utah. The 2006 Conference is designed specifically for human-powered winter recreation activists and offers new tools to protect and preserve winter wildlands on national forests. Join us and our Alliance partners Southern Rockies Conservation Alliance, Nordic United and Utah State University Campus Recreation to learn from the experts, fellow activists and national land managers.
Presentations include:
· WWA’s powerful new report: “Winter Recreation on Western National Forest Lands: Motorized and Non-Motorized Opportunity and Access”
· Understanding the revised NFMA regulations and current law and policy
· Collaboration efforts on Western forests
· Organizational development
· Working with the media
