Seattle, WA – The Friends of the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center (FOAC) is hosting the second annual Snowball Dinner and Auction to support the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center (NWAC) and raise money to develop avalanche education programs.

Snowball is an evening of live and silent auctions, a delicious dinner, and good times with old and new friends. The event will be held on April 16 at St. Demitrios Hall in the Montlake neighborhood of Seattle. Tickets are $70, and all proceeds benefit FOAC and NWAC.

For 35 years, NWAC has been providing mountain weather and avalanche forecasts for the Olympics and the Cascades from Mt. Baker to Mt. Hood in Oregon and Washington State. The services provided by NWAC are crucial to the safety of everyone who recreates in the mountains in the winter.

The Friends of NWAC is a non-profit organization that works to maintain the viability of NWAC and educate the public about avalanche safety and the need to consult NWAC’s forecasts before venturing into the mountains in the winter.
