What is RSS? |
|
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and it is an XML-based (eXtensible Markup Language) format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, blogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as RSS Feeds. RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you're interested in. You save time by not needing to visit each site individually to look for new content, and you ensure your email privacy, by not needing only the site's newsletter for info. Backcountry now has an RSS 2.0 feed (the newest tech for the latest browsers), so you can easily stay informed whenever we add new site content. Simply click the RSS icon in the lower right corner of our home page to see our feed info, and then you simply add our feed url to your browser or feed-reader's feed list. |
