Glen Plake shares his experiences on Manaslu with CNN's Anderson Cooper.

September 27, 2012 CNN's Anderson Cooper interviews Glen Plake after the Manaslu avalanche. Currently, nine climbers have been confirmed killed in the avalanche with Plake's partners Rémy Lécluse and Greg Costa listed as missing, but presumed dead. The avalanche was triggered by a falling serac and destroyed all 25 tents in Camp 3 and 12 tents in the traditionally placed Camp 2. Over a dozen injured climbers were evacuated from the mountain by helicopter. Backcountry's initial reporting may be found here and here.
