Backcountry's October issue is the Deep Issue. In this month's magazine we examine five parts of a powder day, go deep into skiers' heads for the psychology of snow, and ponder deep ecology with author Leslie Anthony. With all this talk of depth, we at Backcountry started wondering about other forms of deep and the word itself. Deep water. Deep caves. Deep space.
